Airsoft Battery Supply
Airsoft gun battery and airsoft shooters supplies
Many problems with airsoft guns can be avoided by using the proper voltage and size rechargeable battery pack. Maintaining the integrity of electrical connections and wiring of your electric airsoft gun, is crucial to proper performance. Proper charging and discharging requirements should be followed according to battery type and voltage. Some very basic airsoft gun battery application rules are suggested below.
Custom airsoft gun models or manufacturers may have specific battery specifications, so always check the manual or match the size, voltage and Mah rating of your existing battery. Basically think of the battery voltage rating as the flow provided like a kitchen faucet, the more (flow=voltage) available, the faster your airsoft gun's rate of fire (ROF) will be. The mili amp hour or mAh rating is the capacity your battery holds at maximum charge. A higher mAh rating means the battery provides longer use times between charging.
If your airsoft gun shoots 250-350 fps Then a small cell 8.4 volt 1100 Mah or higher rated battery is recommended.
If your airsoft gun shoots 350-400 fps Then a Large Cell 8.4 volt 3800 mah or higher rated battery is required.
A small cell 9.6 volt 1200 mili amp hour rating or higher is recommended for improving your airsoft guns overall performance. The new LI-PO batteries are the best choice if your gun gets used often, for long periods.
If your airsoft gun shoots higher than 400 fps then a Large cell 9.6 3800 Mah or higher rated rechargeable battery is required. Here is where the LiPo style airsoft batteries really come in handy. A standard 11.1 volt 1100-1400 MaH 15C battery will power most upgraded airsoft guns all day on one charge.
